Welcome Seminarian Ryan!
Welcome Ryan Kehoe, a seminarian of our diocese who will be spending this summer in his pastoral internship in our parish, from this week into the first half of August. Ryan has been in seminary for 4 years now with 3 years left before priesthood. He is currently studying at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, but before that was in Indianapolis at Bishop Simon Brute College Seminary. Ryan is from a little town just north of Springfield called Athens, and he is the middle child of seven. One of Ryan's uncles is a priest of our Diocese, and his grandfather is a permanent deacon. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing or watching sports (especially soccer, baseball, and frisbee), chess, movies/TV shows, books, and talking to close friends. Before entering seminary in 2017, Ryan worked at a hospital in Springfield, but before that I worked as a carnival employee (aka "a Carnie") for several years. Ryan says that the most significant event of his life has been encountering Jesus Christ, specifically in adoration (which is how he first heard Him inviting him to discern the priesthood.) Welcome to St. Elizabeth, Ryan!
